…..Commends double honours and Empowerment of Constituents
The Ekiti Kete Coalition USA has commended the Senate Leader of the 10th Assembly, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, for facilitating the establishment of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences in Iyin-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
In a statement released by the President of the coalition, Hon. Joseph Olugbamila, the institution would play a crucial role in driving Nigeria’s socio-economic development through strategic deployment of science and technology.
“He has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the needs of his communities and has worked tirelessly to address them, I am not surprised he is doing greatly well for his people, he is a God sent.” As for the new university, it will attract significant development to Iyin-Ekiti and create job opportunities for people in the state.”the chairman said.
Hon. Olugbamila urged him to keep doing more, especially by leveraging his federal influence to facilitate industries in Ekiti, towards stimulating economic growth, and improving the overall quality of life for Ekiti indigenes.
The President described the honorary doctorate degree and the prestigious chieftaincy title of Oluomo of Iyin Kingdom conferred on the senator, as well-deserved in recognition of the Legislator’s outstanding contributions to the development of his community and his service to humanity.
Oba Ajakaiye had on Thursday 27th of March conferred the title of Oluomo of Iyin Ekiti on the Senate Leader and praised him for his roles in developing the town, particularly his involvement which he said was instrumental to the establishment of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental science, Iyin Ekiti.
Hon. Olugbamila also congratulated Senator Bamidele for adding another feather to his academic’s cap, as he was conferred with an honorary doctorate degree of Law, by the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti .
“The honor was an acknowledgment of his leadership excellence, philanthropic efforts, and commitment to the development of education in the country”, he said.
The secretary of the group, Hajia Aisha Opeyemi Oni, in her remarks, highlighted Bamidele’s numerous achievements, especially as a lawmaker and the leader of the Senate.
She lauded the Senate Leader’s working visit to all the five local government areas that made up Ekiti Central Senatorial District that will start from Thursday, March 27th and end on Saturday, April 5th.
According to her, the visit would afford the Senate leader the opportunity to inspect some ongoing projects and commission completed ones across the State.
“His achievements serve as a shining example of what can be achieved through effective leadership, hard work, and a genuine commitment to public service.” she remarked.
The group noted that the Senate Leader’s achievements are a testament to his dedication to public service and his commitment to improving the lives of those he represents.
