An indigenous group in the diaspora, Ekiti Kete Coalition USA has showered accolades on the Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, for his remarkable free medical outreach programme in Ekiti State that lasted eight days.
The President of group, Hon. Joe Olugbamila in a statement noted that the free medical outreach was a testament to Senator Bamidele’s selfless service, which he said had brought succor to thousands of residents in Ekiti Central Senatorial District.
” The Free Medical Outreach initiated by Senator Opeyemi Bamidele is a laudable initiative that demonstrates his commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of his constituents.
I know that the programme had significantly impacted positively on the health and lives of the people in Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Olugbamila remarked.
He described the Iyin Ekiti born philanthropist as a kind hearted leader and an astute politician who is committed to impacting lives of his people positively through his various range of people oriented policies and programmes
Olugbamila said “Senator Bamidele’s initiative is a great example of how leaders can make a positive impact on their communities. By providing access to healthcare, he is helping to improve the quality of life for his constituents”
“I am assured and I can well assure you that having our leader, senator Bamidele as our representative is divine and by the virtue of that not only will constituents benefit from free medical outreach but will also benefit from other life imparting programmes like skill acquisition program, empowerment of both the old and young as well as scholarships for our students, Olugbamila concluded.
Also the secretary of the group, Hajia Aisha Opeyemi Oni commended the Senator for his exemplary leadership and dedication to the welfare of his people, adding that the gesture was an example of effective and good representation.
She stated that Senator Bamidele’s visionary leadership, selfless service, and unwavering commitment to improving the healthcare and wellbeing of his constituents, will help address health challenges and provide relief to those who cannot afford medical care.
According to her, “the outreach programme has helped bridge the gap in healthcare access, especially for vulnerable populations, enabling them to live healthier and more productive lives”
The duo on behalf of the group expressed gratitude to Senator Bamidele for the gesture and urged him to continue his good work, assuring him of their support and prayers.
The outreach programme which includes free screenings for hypertension and hepatitis, blood sugar tests, antenatal care, family planning counseling, and free eyeglasses was well-received, with over 6,600 residents benefiting from the initiative from Ado, Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ekiti West, Efon and Ijero local government areas of Ekiti State
