The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji says he will strictly comply with the recommendations of the Political Appointments screening Committee.
The Governor who gave the assurance while receiving the report of the committee in his office in Ado Ekiti, promised to ensure equity, fairness and Justice in the process of selecting commissioners and Special Advisers in the state.
Governor Oyebanji thanked the committee headed by Chief George Akosile for a job well done, saying his decision was to ensure that those who worked for the party reap the dividends of their work.
The Governor opined that he would like to be remembered as a transparent leader and commended party members across the local govt areas of the state for their inputs in choosing those who will represent them as political appointees.
Assuring that the names of Commissioners and Special Advisers would be unveiled soon, Governor Oyebanji said that the lists of those to be fixed into Boards and Parastatals would be the next.
He urged party members to believe in the party leadership promising that his government will not disappoint the state.
The State Chairman of the APC, Mr Paul Omotoso said the committee was objective and forthright all through the process, noting that 3 names were picked out of 6 earlier selected from each council area.
It would be recalled that the screening Committee was inaugurated by the Governor on the 3rd of April 2023 to coordinate the process of the appointments into his government.
