The Ekiti State Police Command has paraded eight suspects involved in kidnapping and armed robbery in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner, Mr Paul Ayemoni said the ascribed the success to the cooperation and timely as well as useful information from members of the public.
He explained that the Command operatives who were on rescue operation in ijan-EKiti, forest, arrested two notorious kidnappers namely OJo Jubril and Job Matthew who confessed on interrogation to have kidnapped and killed one Adams Segun in his farm at Kajola Farm settlement, Ijan-Ekiti.
Ayemoni said that the suspects also confessed to various kidnapping incidents in Ekiti State and mentioned one Daniel Mathew, Busuyi Popoola and one Daniel as their accomplices.
The police spokesperson noted that during the bush combing exercise in a Government Reserved Forest that bordered Odo-Ado, Ijan-Ekiti, Ise, Emure and Ikere, one Ibrahim Babangida was arrsted by the Command’s operatives in the forest and that during interrogation, the suspect Confessed to kidnapping the duo of Tiasu Mohammed and Abdullahi Saleh in Odido Farm settlement in Ado-Ekiti.
