Two suspected kidnappers involved in the abduction of four persons in irele, Ajoni Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State have been arrested by a combined team of the military, police and the EBORAC.
Confirming the development, the Chairman of Ajoni LCDA, Prince Michael Ogungbemi, who spoke with the BSES, via the telephone, explained that the rescue operation was carried out after careful planning.
He said that the combined team of the security forces stormed the expanded forest where the suspects camped the victims and dislodged them.
Ogungbemi further explained that the release of the three victims in their captivity was secured, while one of the suspects sustained gunshot wound and another one arrested.
The Chairman of the LCDA said the victims were receiving treatment in a hospital in Ikole, while the suspects were undergoing interrogation.
He also said that part of the ransom taken by the suspects was recovered
