The Chairman of Isokan Local Council Development Area, Hon. Kayode Ogundaisi has awarded contracts worth fifteen million naira to various construction companies in the council area.
The contracts cover various critical projects including;
- Construction of Security House and installation of the gate with access slab in the secretariat.
- Construction of 100-meter block line drainage at Aaye Ekiti.
- Construction of a 100-meter block line drainage at Ifaki Ekiti.
- Construction of an 80-meter block line drainage at Ifishin Ekiti.
- Construction of a 50-meter line drainage at Aaye Ekiti.
Mr Ogundaisi while signing the contracts at the headquarters of the council in Ifaki Ekiti, said the contracts were awarded to local companies, in conformity with the state Governor’s vision to promote Indigenous contractors.
He charged the contractors to ensure strict adherence to the job specification and timely completion with a view to preventing price variation.
The council boss urged them to uphold high standards in the execution of the project assigned to them.
The head of the local government administration, Mrs Modupe Oluwafemi in her remarks, emphasized that regular inspections would be conducted throughout the project duration, adding that this should not be perceived as harassment or witch-hunting instead, they are aimed at ensuring compliance with the project specifications and quality of work.
The managing director of XST Taurus Global representing the contractors, Mr Sanmi Agbelese expressed gratitude for the opportunity and assured the council’s management of their dedication to excellence and prompt delivery.
The council’s Director of Finance, Mr Rasheed Amudo advised the contractors to deliver quality projects that meet the specified standard and ensure value for money.
The Director of Procurement, Mr Gabriel Adelusi, stressed the commitment of the management to harmonious partnership.
The successful companies awarded contracts are; Buidnode Construction Company Limited, XST Taurus Global Limited, Best Link Home Global Limited, Oluwatoyin Tolulope Venture, and JG Grace Services.
Also present at the ceremony were; the secretary to the council Hon. Famoroti Adebayo, the Director of Administration Mr. Reuben Ojo, the director of information, Mrs. Omolara Oladija and the deputy director of procurement Mrs. Owolabi Monisola.
