The Chairman of Kajola Local Council Development Area Chief Ojo Adebayo has sent his greetings to Muslims in the LCDA and the State at large as the 30-day Ramadan fast begins.
Chief Adebayo said fasting was not just merely meant to stay hungry or thirsty, but an opportunity to strive for inner purification and self-accountability.
The Kajola LCDA Chairman in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Ado, said that Ramadan is meant to inculcate righteousness and discipline.
Chief Adebayo also known as Abbas enjoined fasting Muslims to increase their love for humanity, acts of charity, kindness, generosity and gratitude.
He called on Muslims and all citizens of the LCDA to always remember men and women who are less fortunate than themselves.

“The ninth month of the Islamic calendar involves abstaining from food, drink, smoking and sex between early morning and sunset.
“Fasting – during Ramadan or for other reasons – is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, the others being faith, prayer, charity and the pilgrimage to Mecca.
“I enjoin Muslim faithful to use this fasting period to pray for the state and our amiable Governor Biodun Oyebanji to succeed in his determination to take the state to the greater heights.
Chief Adebayo assured the people of the LCDA with the headquarters at Ijesa-Isu Ekiti to remain committed to the development of the Area assuring them that his government would continue to embark on programmes that would have direct impact on the lives of the people.
