Managing Director/CEO Agbeyewa Farms limited, Aiyeleso OSKA visits Ekiti Commissioner for Agriculture

…Commends Gov Oyebanji’s major strides in Agribusiness.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Agbeyewa farms limited, Mr Seyi Aiyeleso OSKA has expressed the readiness of the organization to collaborate with the Ekiti State Government in boosting and enhancing the projection of the state to become the food basket of the Nation via the Cassava Revolution Scheme.

Mr Aiyeleso who gave the information during a courtesy visit to the State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Ebenezer Boluwade in his office in Ado revealed the commitment of the Agbeyewa Farms to cultivate 5000 hectares of casava plantation this year surpassing the 1000 hectares done in 2024, out of which 1000 hectares would be ceded to the Ingrower and Outgrower Farmers,

He explained that the Agbeyewa farms limited will leave no stone unturned towards enhancing Cassava production and processing for sustainable agricultural transformation in the state.

Mr Aiyeleso commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s efforts in revolutionizing agriculture to ensuring food security and advancing sustainable farming practices across the State.

The MD/CEO who explained that the importance of Agriculture as catalyst for economic development cannot be overemphasized, solicited more supports from the State Government in this regard.

He emphasized and appreciated the tremendous assistance the Agbeyewa Farm had enjoyed under the leadership of Governor BAO, which according to him are immeasurable .

Mr Aiyeleso thereafter, conveyed the message of gratitude of the Chairman, Agbeyewa Farms Ltd, Mr John Olajide to the Governor and the people of Ekiti State on their collaborations in making it possible to engage, employ and to create wealth mostly for the teaming youths as well women of the State under the Agbeyewa’s Cassava cultivation, aggregation, processing and marketing programs.

The MD/CEO noted that over 1000 Ekiti indigenes across the State are currently benefitting from this program under the cultivation and aggregation handles.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon Boluwade appreciated the team for the visit, and assured them of the continuous support of the State Government.

He noted that Agbeyewa Farms have surpassed expectations of the state government in all ramifications.

The Commissioner said that the 100,000 hectares Cassava Revolution of the Agbeyewa Farms Ltd transcends Ekiti State, adding that neighbouring States would be drafted into the Scheme.

Mr Boluwade affirmed that the State Government would initiate policies to aid the farming activities and development of Agbeyewa Farms in the state.

The commissioner who said the door of the ministry was opened to the Agbeyewa Farms at all times, promised that the state government will continue to market the organization to the global community.

He also commended the Chairman Cavista Holdings Ltd, John Olajide for his giant stride across the State in the areas of Hospitality business and Agriculture.
