The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Comrade Sunday Asefon, has lauded the suspension of the proposed fuel subsidy Removal by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking with newsmen in Ado Ekiti, Asefon said the decision of the President had averted what would have been a replica of the Endsars protests.
He noted that, he had reacted to the proposed Fuel subsidy removal about a month ago where he called the attention of government to what would have trailed the removal if carried out.
The NANS President explained that the federal government’s decision gesture had indicated that the government had a listening ear.
He thanked the president for heeding the call of Nigerians and urged him not to implement any policy that would add to the challenges facing Nigerians.
