About thirty million naira worth of gifts items have been donated to members of the All Progressives Congress from Ekiti South West, Ise Orun and Ikere local Government Areas of Ekiti State.
The Lawmaker representing the Constituency at the House of Representatives, Mr Yemi Adaramodu who distributed the largesse said that the move was to appreciate party members for their support over the years.
The programme held at Ikere-Ekiti saw the Lawmaker donating items such as five Sienna Buses, Motorcycles, Refrigerator, Industrial Sowing Machines, Wheel Chairs, Generators, Grinding Machines, Clippers, Hair Dryers, Exercise Books for students and Cash gifts, among others.
Mr Adaramodu who said that the Programme was in fulfilment of his promises to the people, noted that he would not relent in his efforts aimed at giving back to the society.
He said that the latest development was just a tip of the iceberg, appealing to those yet to be captured in the empowerment to be patient as more dividends of democracy was on the way.
“When I was campaigning, I promised to represent them on three cardinal point, one, law making, two, adequate representation and three, giving back to them, which is what we are doing today”
Earlier, the Ekiti State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Mr Paul Omotosho and other Leaders of the party had described the gesture as a welcome development, saying Mr Adaramodu was a true representative of the party.
They were of the view that the party has the interest of the common man at heart, as exemplified by representatives of the party at the Local, State and National levels
They called for more support for the party urging members to shun backbiting.
Those who benefited from the donation, including a person with disability from Ikole who got wheel chair thanked Mr Adaramodu for giving back to them and rewarding their loyalty.
Mr Yemi Adaramodu is the National Assembly member representing Ekiti South federal constituency one.
