The New Era Anglican Church, Onala Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State has held sentforth service for her immediate Vicar, Reverend Canon Samuel Ogundare and his Wife Oluwabunmi.
The sendforth service which coincided with this year’s Father’s Day took place at the Church Auditorium with a sense of glamour.
The ceremony was well attended by Clerics from the Anglican Communion as well as well wishers from within and outside the state.
Also in attendance were the parents of the celebrants High Chief and Mrs Omojola Ogundare and Professor Moradeke Popoola who came to share in the joy of their children.
In his address of welcome the Vicar of the Church, Reverend Canon Taiwo Ogundare applauded the celebrant and his wife for their selfless service to the development of the church.
According to the Cleric, the good deeds exhibited by the celebrant would continue to linger in the minds of the people and urged them to be relentless in the task of winning more souls for Christ.
It was not speech making alone as Reverend Canon Samuel Ogundare and his Wife were Mimicked by some church members to the admiration of the audience.
Highpoint of the service was the presentation of gifts to the celebrant and his wife.
Responding Reverend Canon Samuel Ogundare who could not hide his joy, thanked members of the church for their support during his 8 years stay in the church.
He called on members of the church to cooperate with the new Vicar towards taking the church and the work of God to greater height.
Reverend Canon Samuel Ogundare had since been transferred to Grace of God Anglican Church, Bawa, Ado Ekiti.
