Ekiti State House of Assembly has elected a new Speaker.
The new Speaker, Rt Hon Gboyega Aribisogan, who represent Ikole constituency 1, was elected at plenary on Tuesday and replaced the late Rt Hon Funminyi Afuye, who died last month after a brief illness.
Hon Aribisogan who won the keenly contested election defeated Hon Olubunmi Adelugba with 15 to 10 valid votes cast.
