Olominu breaks jinx, commissions health center after 19 years of initiation

The Chairman of Ikole Local Government, Mr Sola Olominu, says his administration will continue to embark on projects that would contribute to the growth and development of the council area and its inhabitants.

Olominu made the promise while inaugurating the ALGON Health Center, situated at Odo Oro, and the flag off of the installation of solar powered street light along Ara Road, in Ikole Ekiti.

The construction of the Association of Local government of Nigeria, ALGON’s Health Center at Odo Oro started in 2004 and was completed by the Olominu administration.

Mr Olominu, who thanked God for the successful completion of project, acknowledged the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for the release of money for its actualization.

He called for proper maintenance of the project.

The Onise of Odo Oro, Oba Babatunde Jemileyin, commended the Council boss for ensuring the realisation of the long time dream.

The Director of Public Health, Ekiti State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Akintunde Ogunsakin, represented by Dr Olusola Amodu, promised proper utilization of the facility, but requested for the provision of water and solar light in the Center.

The chairman later flagged off the installation of 100 solar powered street lights along Ara Road, in Ikole Ekiti.

Mr Olominu also inspected the ongoing renovation of the Legislative building in the council headquarters and the Ikole Town hall.

He expressed the readiness of his administration to commission the two projects in due course.
