The wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Abiodun-Oyebanji, has presented cash and gift items to the first baby of the year 2023, born to the family of Adeyemo of Ise Ekiti.
Dr Abiodun-Oyebanji, who congratulated the family on the occasion, prayed for more good things for the family.
Dr Abiodun-Oyebanji, who was at the comprehensive health center, oke yadi, Ise Ekiti, where the baby was delivered at 12am, thanked God for a safe delivery.
She charged the family to take good care of the baby girl who weighed 3.0kg at birth.
The wife of the governor also thanked the Hospital management for the doing the needful.
The father of the baby, who is a bricklayer, Mr Gbenga Adeyemo, who confirmed that the baby was given birth to through normal delivery and without any complications, said the newborn was his second child.
He thanked the first lady for the show of love.
The officer in charge of the health center, Mrs Yetunde Salami, said the mother and the baby were in a stable condition.
Similarly, Dr Abiodun-Oyebanji, was at the State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, where she donated cash and gift items to the family of Mr Toba Owoeye whom God blessed with triplets last week.
She congratulated the couple and told them to explore the state government’s Education Investment Fund for twins and triplets.
The governor’s wife who thanked the management of the Teaching hospital for the care, promised to assist the NCE graduate mother of the triplets to be gainfully employed.
Mr Toba Owoeye who said he had two children before the coming of the triplets, had earlier requested for the assistance of the governor’s wife in the area of securing a job for himself and his wife.
The triplets, one boy and two girls, were given birth on the 28th of last December.
