Presidential election:Tinubu seeks Traditional, Religious leaders’ support in Ekiti

The All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,has called for the support of traditional and religious leaders in Ekiti state towards ensuring his victory in the forthcoming presidential election.

The former Lagos state Governor made the call during separate meetings with the two stakeholders at the Ewi’s palace in Ado the state capital.

At the the meeting were Governor Biodun Oyebanji, former Governors Adeniyi Adebayo, kayode Fayemi and former Osun State Governor Chief Bisi Akande among others APC leaders.

Addressing the stakeholders Asiwaju Bola Tinubu appealed to them to preach to their subjects on the need to support his presidential bid.

The APC presidential hopeful said he though it necessary to seek the intervention of traditional rulers and religious leaders, to protect the sanctity of the elections processes.

The former Lagos State Governor promised to look into various challenges confronting the country especially insecurity unemployment, Economy, among others.

He said that the current scarcity of fuel and money in circulation are signs of destabilisation of the forthcoming elections urging Nigerians to be focused for the task ahead.

Earlier the Chairman of Ekiti council of traditional rulers Oba Ayodele Adejuwon and the Ewi of Ado Ekiti Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe prayed for his success in the February 25 election.

Also the president of league of Imams and Alfas South West states, Edo and Delta states Sheikh Jamiu Kewulere and Chairman of CAN in the state Reverend Emmanuel Aribasoye eulogized the APC presidential candidate and wished him well in his future endeavor.
