…as Agunbiade calls for quick repair of the road

An accident involving a Toyota hilux Vehicle and an Eighteen passenger seater bus has claimed three lives in Igbala junction of Aramoko Ekiti.
According to the driver of the Ibadan bound passenger bus, Mr John Simon, the accident occured due to the over speeding of the Hilux vehicle.
He said though no one died in his bus, but four occupants in the Hilux who was said to be coming from Lagos state died on the spot while those who sustained serious injuries have been taken to a nearby hospital by the police.
The lawmaker representing Ekiti West one, Mr Kareem Agunbiade who joined in the rescue of the victims, ascribed the ugly occurrence to the bad condition of the road.
He said the bus was trying to maneuver it way out of the bad portion of the Igbala junction before the Hilux burst out from the bypass in the area on a high speed losing it control and hit the bus.
Mr Agunbiade, Elder Moses Akinwande and other road users in the area appealed to the Federal government to repair the Aramoko, Erio, Efon Junction ilesha road, which has become a death trap to avert the incessant road crashes on the route
