Armed robbers have killed a 38 year old man, Bode Apata, at Ilawe Ekiti.
Report says the robbers, numbering about three, stormed the residence of the deceased at Oke Aofin area of the community where they carried out the crime.
Bode was one of the POS agents operating in the town before the attack.
He was reportedly shot in the head around one in the morning when he accosted the robbers.
Some of the residents of the area said the robbers had earlier attacked some houses in the neighborhood, maltreating occupants and asking for the exact house of the POS agent living in the vicinity.
Sympathisers have besieged his residence, mourning his demise and urging the Police to unravel those behind his killing.
Items carted away by the robbers included his POS machine, his mobile phones and some other valuables.
Some policemen from the Ilawe divisional Headquarters visited the scene of the incident and later allowed the family to take the corpse for burial
