The Nigerian Senate leader, Opeyemi Bamidele has said that the proposed Radio and Television Station to be built for Ekiti State University would be named after an ace journalist, the Late Mr Chris Fajemifo.
Senator Opeyemi made the announcement in Ado Ekiti during the Inauguration of some projects at the EKSU Alumni Village
The late Broadcaster until his death was a Director at the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State.
Fajemifo, a late former SUG President at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife in Osun State was involved in a ghastly accident on June 12, 2012 on his way back to Akure residence to meet his family.
The Senate leader also reteirated his stance on the race for the 2026 Governor election in the state, declaring his support for the second term of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
He urged Ekiti People to shelve politics of bitterness and support the present Administration that has steadily steer the ship of the state to a promise Land.
Other Ekiti indigenes honored were the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, former Deputy Governors Prof Modupe Adelabu and the late Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi
