The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has commended the Chairman of Isokan Local Council Development Area, with headquarters at Ifaki Ekiti, Mr Olumide Fadipe, for emjudiciously expending the funds accruing to the council.
The Governor gave the commendation while inaugurating the Isokan Secretariat Complex and other projects executed by the LCDA at Ifaki Ekiti.
Governor Oyebanji, who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Mr Folorunsho Olabode, inaugurated the permanent secretariat with a call for its proper maintenance.
He expressed satisfaction that the purpose to which the LCDAs were created was being achieved, and encouraged the incoming administration to build on the giant strides of the incumbent.
The governor initimated the gathering of the plans of the state government to commence the construction of five kilometers roads per local government next year.
Earlier, the chairman of the LCDA thanked God and the state government for the opportunity given him to serve his people since the creation of the LCDA.
He explained that the prompt release of funds by the state government resulted into the achievements recorded by his administration.
The Olufaki, Oba Adegbenro Falore, also thanked the state government for the support, saying that the LCDA had brought improved development to the area.
The event also featured the send off ceremony of the former Head of Local Government in the Council, Mr Termitope Fadipe, an Engineer.
