Cleric urges Christians to prepare for Christ’s second coming.

The Vicar of Amazing Grace Anglican Church Ilokun in Ado Ekiti Reverend Dr. Toluwa Oniya has called on Christians to come to God in repentance and prepare for Jesus Christ’s second coming.

Reverend Oniya who made the call at today’s Church Service said that Jesus Christ’s second coming was far approaching and urged Christians and Nigerians to change from their old ways of life and believe in God.

The Cleric who spoke on the theme of the service “the Harvest of Saint and Sinner” said that the saint shall be counted worthy on the judgement day while sinners would be judged accordingly on the last day.

He said: “Jesus himself will come down and present justice, People should be upright, so that they can have a share in the new kingdom. The new world would be a peaceful one, when Jesus Christ comes. It is not good for anyone to miss the second coming of Christ, as that is where we will spend our eternal life.”

Reverend Oniya also spoke on the need for Christians to keep hope alive in God for a better Nigeria irrespective of numerous challenges bedevilling the nation.

The Anglican Cleric who stressed that a lot of Nigerians are fed up with various challenges confronting the entirety of Nigeria appealed to Nigerians to trust God and stop looking at the challenges which he said are surmountable.

“A lot of people are disappointed at the turn of things in the country especially the high cost of goods and service, but we must all believe that hope is not lost. We must be optimistic and trust God for a better Nigeria,”

Reverend Oniya who declared that there was hope for a better Nigeria, appealed to leaders to do the right thing and justify the confidence repose in them by the masses.

The cleric encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast and be vanguard of change to enhance a prosperous nation.

He however called on Christians to always think of heaven and be prayerful for them to be counted worthy on the last day.

He said “live as if today will be your last day, know one could say what could happen in the next minute”.
