Motorists plying Adebayo, Opopogbro area of Ado Ekiti have called the attention of the state government to the failed portion in the area that has become a nightmare for them.
The failed portion in a turning point, close to Mojere market, held motorists for about one hour as every driver struggled to have a passage.
In the traffic logjam, some vehicles developed faults, thereby degenerating the situation.
The situation also forced some motorists to cross to the other lane of the dual carriage way, thereby driving against the traffic.
Some Policemen from Okeila police station later joined the traffic wardens on duty to ease off the congestion.
The motorists said that they usually experienced the gridlock during the rush hours in the morning and in the evening, thereby bringing untold hardship to them.
They said that prompt intervention of the state government in fixing the failed portion and others I the state capital would bring relief to the people.
