The Management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, FUOYE says it knows nothing about the announcement that the University is currently recruiting to fill academic and non-academic vacancies.
A statement from the Special Adviser on Media Matters to the Vice-Chancellor, Wole Balogun said that the fake announcement, which was created to obviously defraud unsuspecting members of the public had gone viral on the social media.
Dr. Balogun stated that the said announcement was fake and the handiwork of fraudulent elements who were also hell bent on tarnishing the good image of upwardly mobile Citadel of Learning, FUOYE.
The statement reads, “We also wish to advise members of the public to always endeavour to contact directly the Institution and also put calls through the appropriate channels to confirm such information in the future before making attempt to assess them.”
“In this age of social media boom, many fraudulent elements are devising several fruadulent means to defraud innocent members of the public,” said Balogun
The VC’s Media Aide said that FUOYE is currently not recruiting and whenever the need arises for the announcement of authentic recruitment excercise, it will be made known through several channels of communication which include the print and electronic media, not just only on the social media.
Dr Balogun urged members of the public, especially youths seeking gainful employment to ignore the announcement currently making the rounds, in their own interest.
