NAFEST will transform Ekiti economy…COS

The chief of staff to the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Omoleye, says that the upcoming National Festival for Arts and Culture, NAFEST, is about showcasing the rich cultures of the various tribes in the country and compete for excellence.

He gave the clarification while speaking with the BSES against the backdrop of rumours making the round that the event would involve idol worshipping.

He said that NAFEST was all about culture and the rich tradition of the Nigerian people and their different traditional games.

The chief of staff explained that Ekiti State would benefit tremendously from the hosting, as her economy would experience a boom.

He said that over twenty thousand visitors from across the world would be in Ekiti for a week that the event would last.

Mr Omoleye said that efforts were in top gear to mobilize grassroots people to participate fully in the festival.
