The legal battle between the Arubiojo and Onifishin vs Akombo and Alawe Ruling houses in Osi Ekiti, have been laid to rest as Justice Lucas Ogundana of Ekiti State High Court, Ado Ekiti validated the claim of Arubiojo and Onifishin as ruling houses to the Olosi of Osi stool.
The Akombo and Alawe Ruling houses had approached the court seeking to nullify the decision of the state government to restore the rights of Arubiojo and Onifishin ruling houses to the stool of Olosi
Justice Ogundana, in his ruling, struck out the suit on the basis that the issues brought before the court had been decided by Ekiti State Court in two previous suits with one affirmed by the Court of Appeal.
He declared the suit as abuse of court processes and judicial rascality and thereafter ruled in favour of the Arubiojo and Onifishin ruling houses.
Reacting to the judgement, Bishop Ademakinwa Alabi of the Arubiojo ruling house, thanked God that the long legal battle had been laid to rest.
He said the victory was for Osi people and that there was no victor, no vanquished.
Bishop Alabi called on the warring factions to bury the hatchet and work together for the progress of the town
