Retired Military Personnel in Ekiti Seek Improved Government Attention.

Retired Officers of the Nigerian Army and wives of the Fallen Heroes want Governments to prioritize their Welfare with.

The Chairman, Nigerian Legion Ekiti State Chapter, Retired Colonel Adeyanju Olorunda and a Widow, Mrs Husnah Umar stated this in Ado-Ekiti at the Grand Finale of the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

Retired Colonel Olorunda maintained that Government should take good care of the veterans to appreciate their positive contributions to the unity, safety, and progress of Nigeria.

The Commander, Ekiti State ‘Amotekun’ Corps, Retired Brigadier General Joe Akomolafe called on well meaning Nigerins to support families of the Fallen Heroes and urged Government not to relent at making lives meaningful to the Retired Officers.

The Grand finale of this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration was attended by the Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi, Represented by the Deputy Governor Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Biodun Omoleye, state Head of Service, Mrs Peju Babafemi, Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe among others.
