Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed by fire in Shasha market, Ikere Ekiti.
Though, the cause of the inferno could not be ascertained as at press time, a cold room and more than four shops were razed by the inferno which lasted for hours.
Shop owners and passersby made frantic efforts to put out the fire, while men of the Federal Fire Service were resisted from doing their job for allegedly arriving at the scene late.
