The Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun has emphasized that the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji is committed to the betterment of the State, particularly the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State, BSES.
Chief Olatunbosun made the emphasis in his office in Ado-Ekiti while playing host to the Members of the Executive of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria, RATTAWU under the umbrella of BSES Joint Consultative Council.
The Commissioner who said that the Government has connected the BSES to the national grid, noted that efforts are on to also make it benefit from the State Independent Power Project IPP.
He said that obsolete equipment of the station would be overhauled and general needs of the staff would be attended to for better services.
Earlier, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, BSES Chapel, Mr Kelechi David who commended Governor Oyebanji for ensuring that BSES was connected to the national grid after over twenty-four years of its existence, presented some of the needs of the staff to include transportation, working tools and the BSES Bill to promote efficiency.
